  • Salim v Mitchell (WAED): Member of trial and negotiation team in groundbreaking litigation against psychologists who designed and helped implement CIA interrogation of men using torture (Settled August 2017)
  • Wiwa v. Shell (NYSD): Member of trial team in seminal international human rights litigation o/b/o Plaintiff-Niger Delta-indigenes against various Royal Dutch Shell entities arising out of Shell’s Niger Delta joint venture with the Nigerian government and co-led negotiations resulting in $15 Million Settlement; Adhikari v KBR (NDTX): Member of trial team in litigation on behalf of Nepalese human trafficking victims (settled against one defendant)
  • Ratha v. Phatthana (CACD): Member of trial team for Cambodian Plaintiffs human trafficking victims
  • Doe v. ExxonMobil (DCD): Member of trial team on behalf of Acehnese villagers against ExxonMobil for claims of summary execution, torture, sexual assault, and arbitrary detention
  • Doe v. Karadzic (NYSD): Coordinated Plaintiffs’ trial team in action against Bosnian war criminal, Radovan Karadzic, for claims of genocide, torture, summary execution, sexual assault, and humanitarian law violations resulting in $4.5 Billion Plaintiffs’ verdict; Attorney for amici curiae before S. Supreme Court on international and domestic standards of corporate liability for international law violations; FLSA improper classification action against high profile publishing company (settlement terms confidential). Involvement in these cases included preparing the case for and commencing litigation, taking and defending depositions, working with victims and experts on substantive issues and damages, developing and implementing settlement strategies and international travel.
